ReactrRaptr: Social Media Gaming Content Creation
ReactrRaptr is my personal gaming YouTube, TikTok and Twitch brand. This was a side project that very quickly became a passion and with that passion perfection soon followed. After doing research into existing social media influencers, I knew I needed 'level up' my game.
In the 4 years I've been recording and going live, I've taught myself a whole range of new skills from lightting design, video editing and audio engineering to post-production effects and colour grading and more. The access to such tools has increased immensly since I start doing this and each time I have the opportunity to introduce a new effect or vibe to the channel it's a very welcome challenge.
Each new idea on I have on the channel is a new challenge, this has been a very strange world to get into, but the end result has always been worth every second of my time. I continue to wow new audiences, friends, family and more as I continue on this amazing journey.
The Challenges
Budget
Due to the fact I don't do this full-time, my road to monitisation has been slower than most other influencers, meaning effects done by most content creators in camera or in-house, I've had to develop or recreate in post production, which ultimately meant a steep learning curve!
Engagement
Trends on social media platforms are contantly evolving and changing, to keep up with this I've had complete research, stay in tune with gaming community and engage on other platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. This really stretched the concept I all ready had of brand engagement.
Effort
All of this work is done outside of work hours and does sometime mean pulling some late night to make it happen! As I don't pay for an edititor (like most influencers) it can sometimes take two days to air 20 minutes worth of footage (dependiong on video complexity).
