IKEA: Range Knowledge on the Go
Working as contractor for Koko Digital, I worked on one of my most exciting projects to date. A mobile app for Ikea staff to help improve their Ikea product knowledge.
A mobile first site designed and implimented in Ionic includes product pages for learning but also has a gamification training system through quzzies, leaderboards and levelling up so staff can compare their progress with each other.
I was responsible for the HTML & CSS implimentation of the front end, taking this iconic design from Photoshop mock-up and making it a reality.
The Challenges
Pixel Perfection
Much like their furiture, IKEA wanted to work with some very strict size and structure rules, so each pixel had to be in just the right place.
Strong Brand Identity
IKEA have a very strong brand identity that we had to adhere to in both terms of colour and structure. This left little margin for error.
Valuable Client
At the time, IKEA were the biggest client and the biggest contract that the Koko team had worked on, we all wanted to push to make it the best!
